Dad, I don't know where to start or really what to say. Thank you just does not seem enough on this special day. But I will try my best to say the things inside my heart. However, let me warn you now that these words may be a little soppy from the start. You truly are my hero Dad and you have been ever since I can remember. You are the first man I ever loved and that will stay true forever. No other man can compare to you - for a Dad's love is something special. It is unbreakable, unwavering, and always unconditional. Ever since I was born you have always been there for me. To protect me, to guide me, and to shape me into the best person I can possibly be. When I think about you and my childhood, nothing but happy memories fill my mind. For all I can remember is you being so caring, funny, and kind. You never once let me down and always made me feel secure. You never failed to make me smile or to make me feel better when I felt low. I am so lucky that I have met a man who reminds me a little of you. Someone who I love to pieces and who also loves me through and through. Someone who shows me respect and brings out the best in me. Someone who I can trust and who will protect me endlessly. I cannot wait to marry him and become his wife. Truly happy and lucky I feel to have him in my life. But he can never replace you, for a daughter needs her dad forever. Even when she’s old and grey, her Dad is the most important man to her. So today when I say I do, please smile and do not cry. For this is a new chapter, a happily ever after, it is not a farewell or goodbye. Like I mentioned Dad, you are my hero and I do not know what I would do without you by my side. You are the one who made me into the woman I am today, a strong and happy bride. Though I think it is very clear for everyone to see. I may be a grown woman now, but your little girl I will always be. I will never be too old, too proud or too wise to say .. I am my Daddy’s girl and my Daddy’s girl I will forever stay. I could go on and on, but I think you already know. You mean the world to me and you are the best Dad I could ask for. Thank you so much for loving me and for supporting me through all of my lows and highs. And thank you for just being you and for being the most amazing Father of the bride.
